Do you think Monte Ellis, Stephen Curry, Tyreke Evans, or Ben Gordon will ever win a championship?
What about Tony Parker?

Ben Gordon is not as good as Rivers. and plays a different style. Bad examples.
You don't know what your talking about. Look at Gordon's offensive production. Your going to tell me a rookie who has yet to prove himself is better then this: LINK
You sound like one of those LSU football fans that thinks the new 5 star kid is going to start over the 3 year 5 Star kid because he is all new and glossy.
Need a legit point guard. I hope Vasquez can play.

Tony Parker is a PG that can score. I'm sure he averages over 6 apg. They are no where near the same player.
Parkers looks for everyone else on the court first and Rivers looks for ways to get himself open.

It's an interesting decision Demps will have to make as to who they will go after, I don't see CP3 leaving Griffin but if he did I think the Hornets would be the #1 option for him giving the teams available and their cap space(Mavs are going downhill, don't think D12 will hit market to try to lure that in front of him).
I could seem going after Bynum as well for the length, but I too don't think he'll hit the market if involved in a D12 trade like I think he will.
I think if Davis played the 3 he'd almost be a scorer similar to how Lebron was this past season, a lot of driving/post with some jumpshots thrown in as he develops it. Defensively tho, it'd effect his best part of his game. It all hinges on how he develops and what he shows, with his frame he could easily out grow the 3 by putting on weight.

AD is a game changer who can play a couple of different positions. I think we should have picked Zeller at 10 to add to our depth inside.

His career avg is 5.9 per game. Didn't hit 6 apg until his 4th season and then didn't do it again for 3 seasons. Everyone knew Rivers would need time, and we aren't going to be competing seriously for about 3 seasons anyway. None of this should be surprising.

Wade wasn't the pg on the first championship team either. They had Jason Williams and Gary Payton. Wade is not a combo guard.
If Bynum wasn't a head case with an injury history, he is a perfect compliment to Davis. A legit center who is 7', can bang with bigger centers, and can score down low is just what you want with Davis. Problem is, if he has problems wanting to be the man on a team with Kobe, I'm guessing he will want to be the man with the Hornets also.

Never called him a PG. I called him a combo guard.
He has averaged 7.5 assists twice in his career and over 6 for his career. You wouldn't call that a combo guard ?

I think Lawson will sign an extension soon.

bynum.....hell yeah! as far as cp3 goes, i think it's either him or gordon. unless benson goes "at all costs" on them bitches and pay the taxes. imagine getting those guys here with AD/ryno/ego.

I think we have different definitions of what is a combo guard. Were Jordan, Pippen, and Kobe combo guards? Jordan averaged 8 apg one year. When I think combo guard, I think of guys like Ben Gordon and Monte Ellis. Just being a sg who dominates the ball and runs the team doesn't make someone a combo guard in my opinion. Combo guard to me is basically a scoring pg, like Allen Iverson, Derrick Rose, or Russell Westbrook.

@BayouFann, having Davis on a rookie contract allows them to have another max player with Gordon for the next 4 or 5 years. They wouldn't have to make a decision on taxes and such until it's time to give Davis a big extension.

Dwayne Wade is not the point guard. Chambers and Cole played that role. Dwayne Wade is our Gordon.
