The biggest problem is that you think you're completely healed when you aren't. The pain stops occurring when you walk, so you think you can do something with higher impact. It takes time to heal.

Since rest seems to be the treatment, at this point I'm almost ready to tell him he's done for the season.

That is probably extreme given the location of his injury. It should have more blood flow than the foot which speeds up the healing process.

He shouldn't play for at least 2 weeks after the xrays show he's healed IMO. Then you start him back slow

For me, it felt like my foot was ripping in half every time I took a step.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Tasmin Mitchell miss an entire season for LSU with a stress fracture in his foot?

Yes I believe so but foot is a different story. Less vascular so healing time is typically longer. This is something where sitting him for another month until after all star break would suffice. As long as the last two guards don't go down... We're fine.

I'm as big as Pels fan as the rest of you but sometimes it's best to not be a homer.

blowing the whole thing up and rebuilding around AD from scratch.

Not the worst idea in the world at all. The ceiling of this team is still TBD.

The problem is most of the Pelicans players have mediocre value around the league due to a combination of injury, contract, and play. And they have no picks on the roster, so there isn't a young guy developing w/ Davis, and no 1sts until next year (for now).

Based on that landscape, they need to find a backup pg and try to ride it out. See if Davis can carry them into the 8 seed as PHX and OKC also are imploding.

I think it's stupid to do in this situation but thats me.

Its an unlucky situation thats not worth any type of self gratification.

Meh. I personally think we're a better team with (good) reke playing. I'm not that high on Holiday. Obviously he's a solid starter, but I think we're better with Reke at the point.

We're not

Tyreke is playing very well but this team badly badly misses his Defense(see westbrook mudering us with no resistance)

He's also far less prone to the late game snafus tyreke has when hes off.

I think it is safe to say he can not be counted on as a core piece. How do we part with him? This is EG, to a lesser extent, all over again. Thank Jebus we have Reke. If only we had a coach...

This team was kicking some butt right before AD got hurt. No reason to think they can't continue to do so.
