Brightside is our pick is becoming more valuable. Combine that with Jrue+ JJ, or Favors and should definitely be able to get a superstar

Which players on the pels would make up for holidays production?

Not an original idea but I've been reading how Turner is having a rough year by his standards and IND is looking to push forward with Sabonis as their C of future. Favors +pick and sweetener for Turner at 18 mil per year could be an option.

Question is loaded. Individually? No one. BIs production? No one.
JJs production? No one.

I mean, Lonzo had a great shooting game, going 4-8 from 3. And yet, the team was still -10 with him on the floor tonight.
Overall, Lonzo has a combined BPM (Box +/-) of -1.0. That means, compared to an average player in the league, your team is going to score a point less per 100 possessions with Lonzo on the floor.
Josh Hart, on the other hand, has a positive BPM of 0.3. So far this season, Hart has been a lot more valuable for us on the floor than Lonzo.

So why is me saying we'd get blasted by 20 a night without Jrue wrong?

Favors started the year playing hurt, and he was largely ineffective. Then he was hurt enough to stay out, then he came back and we got a couple of really good games from him, and then he was hurt again, and then his mother died.
It was really the one thing that we couldn't afford with Zion out -- our 2nd-best big to miss extended time. And it's killed us. This was another game that we'd have won if we'd had him available, as he'd have been much, much more effective than the crap we got from Okafor tonight.
I want to see more from him before we decide to trade him. I assume that he'll be back Tuesday against the Mavs. We probably won't have Kenrich back, but we'll be otherwise healthy. I want to see what the team looks like when it has a real center in there.

Your original argument I believe is that he's our best player. And based that on stats. I just don't agree with that and believe stats alone are a bad indicator of a player's effectiveness. And for good measure I'm pretty sure we didn't lose by 20+ in the games Jrue missed

Im not sure we dont win both of the games against OKC with just having Favors. Jah was -13 in 9 minutes tonight and was abused. Just doesnt have the lateral quickness to defend.

Ultimately it's either trade him or lose him for nothing. We could try to sign him in the off season but I keep mentioning trading him and/or Jrue, JJ, etc. Because they're all on great expiring contracts and could net a lot. Not because of fit or injuries even. Favors is a FA, JJ has 1 year left and Jrue has next year and an option after that I believe.

Well, we have his Bird rights, so I'm not 100% sure that we couldn't keep him.

If I can move him for Turner I'd do it but I'm not opposed to bringing him back. But it does put all of the power into his hands. What if he doesn't want to come back? ie Gordon and Anderson. Lost them for nothing

Alot of teams dont have cap space next year which would play into our favor..
If we don't want him back, we could always do a sign and trade to get him where he wants to go

But I'm probably going to be in agreement with trading him for Turner because, from what I saw in the preseason, I don't think that Favors pairs well with Zion. What I saw in the preseason was that Zion was better when he was playing the 5 or otherwise could go one-on-one to the rim. Favors or another big around the rim just made it harder for Zion to get his dunks and layups. As bad as Melli looks now, he looked a lot better in the preseason because he opened stuff up for Zion (what Daniels was talking about in the broadcast today).
But, I guess we'll see about that when we get Zion back. Waiting for Zion is like a kid waiting for Christmas -- each day seems an eternity.

This was literally written just days before there was a rash of S&T in free agency...
DLo
Butler
Bogdonovich
Walker
Rozier
Durant
Just a few off the top of my head that were involved in sign and trades this year

Depending on how our roster shapes up It wouldn't kill us to be a hard capped team. I'd just like it avoid if possible. Looking at that list aside from Charlotte most of those teams a looking to contend right now. That's not us at the moment
