I think a lot of the guys you named are respected pros, but still don’t fit the vet leadership role we needed. Etwan Moore isn’t pulling weight, Steven Adams is respected as a teammate but goes about his business, McCollum has a politician personality. We needed stronger leaders in the locker room and with the coaching staff. Van Gundy, for all his flaws, got more out of Zion than anyone else. It takes some confrontational and outgoing leadership and we had none of that.
You even take a guy like Deandre Jordan this season who jumps off the bench on TO’s to coach the young guys… that’s what Zion needed from day one. Not people who just accepted him as the face of the franchise and let things be.

I don’t follow the NBA unless the Pels are winning. being 3-22 then going on a 5 game win streak has grabbed my attention now.
Can’t help but notice this team is super young looking at recent box scores. Are we the youngest team in the association and wouldn’t that bode well for the future?
