Let's focus on the pieces we can add going forward.
It's not like any other guys were available for less money, or even the same money.
The Rockets also sent $1.5mm cash in the deal. We know Dell likes those cash money deals.

When it happened CBS was saying "Together, Davis and Asik will be one of the best defensive tandems in the league around the basket. Asik is elite in terms of protecting the rim and rebounding."

his contract looks like peanuts going forward. Add Poeltl, and we'll have 3 capable centers making less than a combined $20mm per year and all tied up until AD23 makes his decision to reup or leave. Ideal.
