Elfrid
There's probably a less than 1% chance he's on the team. He's not an nba player and his contract isn't guaranteed. The only way his contract gets guaranteed is if it's needed in a trade.
There's 14 players on the roster without Elfrid, and Boston is the only other contract that isnt' guaranteed but it's a minimum so it's not a big deal.
With those 14 players, we are at $177M. The tax line is at $188M.
We've got plenty of room to trade someone like Hawkins/Payton to get back a $12M center, or just use the MLE to sign someone, like Luke Kornet or Santi Aldama or Day'Ron Sharpe.
Magic have Mo Wagner, WCJ and Goga all in that price range.

Maybe not if they move Jose. If Jose isn’t in the rotation, I think that possibility is more real than we would like.
Why would anyone trade for a guy that will be suspended for 80 games?

I believe we could also expand the Wizards trade and add in Jose/ Hawk to get a player back. This would still make it possible to get a guy in the $15-$25mil range to my knowledge (no expert).
We need to look something like:
Murray/ Fears/ Vet PG
Poole/ Herb/ Vet SG
Trey/ Bey/ rookie or Vet
Zion/ Queen/
Vet starter/ Missi/ Karlo
IF Fears/ Queen are legit, we stay mainly healthy, we get a center worth a shite, and Murray returns to old then we are a contending level team. I know.. those ifs have no guarantee's but that the best part. If it doesn't workout then you keep your best young guys and package Zion, Murray, and whoever else for future picks and assets.

Dejounte has made it clearly known he doesn’t want to play in New Orleans. You just drafted Fears to play that spot anyway and I can see him starting sooner than later while Murray still rehabs from surgery.

Rim protection, a better offensive scheme, more vets
