Hawkins is so much better than what hes shown in summer league.

He looks so similar to Steph running around out there. Similar build too. I like what I see from him.

It's Reeves who's looked good in the PnR with Matkovic. Most of his assists were in the action with Matkovic.

Eh every summer league guys like Ford stand out. But they’re not close to NBA players mainly due to their size and lack of athleticism.

I’m saying he literally looks like Steph lol. Not anything to do with play style. Also whoever the Summer league HC is, dude is drawing up some nice ATO plays.

Hawkins was off all night. But I loved the ATO..it was beautiful even though it didn't fall. Great call.

I judged him on summer league last year. I wont make that mistake again. I think he’s fine. Defenses are loading up on him.

I’m judging him more on the second half of last season and how neither he nor the FO feel the need to fix those things. Instead they are doing the worst thing and emboldening him even more to think he should be a ball handler.
He’s an incredibly flawed player right now that can get hot from three every few games or so, but that’s not enough to be in the rotation for games that matter.

I do agree this is dumb. Hes not a ball handler at all. And the effort he should be putting in other areas is being wasted on this. Just focus on being a better defender and getting to the rim.

I meant from an actual comfort level. Ford looks like the guy who has been playing meaningful minutes on an NBA team and Hawk looks like a 2 way contract getting bullied.
Ford also controlled the ball and took mostly smart shots. Hawk was flying all over the damn place the last few minutes. No control, confidence, or leadership from our lead guy.

He's 26 and played 4 years in the g league so he's an experienced scorer.
