Ball and Kenrich are going to definitely be those next 2 guys. I think Hart/Frank/Moore/NAW will be guys that rotate with Hart and Frank being the front runners. Just need some consistency with NAW and he will play more.

Jaxson Hayes is not ready for serious intense game action, but GOD DAMN he is one helluva player with his skinny frame and medium to low basketball IQ. (People say he is super raw, but he seems to be playing at a better speed than Diallo did in his 3rd year imo). Hayes has taken Okafors minutes away also imo. With what I just said, Hayes is so much better at this point than I expected. And dude has handles!! If he can learn a low post move in the next few years, the league is frickED!

God damn we have so much depth..

Hard to keep Josh Hart out of rotation and Kenrich has earned his minutes as well. Honestly, Lonzo would be odd man out for me based on merit alone, but I understand you have to give him minutes this year to evaluate things.

I think NAW and Jackson will see minutes scaled back just because of numbers game and Jah will see spot duty based on match ups. Think ETwan has played well also, but will probably sit. Agree Lonzo comes off bench for now. Jrue—JJ backcourt works too well together. So second five is Lonzo/Hart/Williams/Melli/Hayes...sub in ETwan or NAW if going small...

I’m not saying anyone is off at all, but the idea that Josh Hart wouldn’t be listed and E’Twaun Moore not even discussed with the way he has played just blows my mind. This team is so unbelievably deep. Moore has been great and I wouldn’t put him in either.

That being said, if we have Zion, Favors, Jaxson and Kenrich all healthy, along with Ingram playing down a spot, I don’t see why Melli plays. Give me more Josh Hart minutes and try to minimize Lonzo’s where possible.

if he cant master a low post move in two weeks he never will.

A coach, a ball and hayes in gym. Hours. Every day.

Now. No road games. Just him and coach and a ball.

Yeah Hart is a bit of an oversight on my part.

Announcer just said Zion he guesses will come after all star break

Hate to say it but I trust ESPN announcers more than us. Only because it benefits ESPN, because of all the ESPN games, to say he is coming back soon.

We say soon because we need more fans back interested in the pelicans.

Pelicans make make it seem like 3 more weeks

Hayes' game, right now, doesn't require him to have a low post move. He plays spacing with the pick and roll with a dash to the rim. The low post is Favors/Oak.

I agree with the Jrue, JJ, BI, Zion, and Favors starting lineup, but I think Kenny Hustle, Jaxon, Zo, Hart, Melli, and Moore all need to be in rotation too.

ETA: If Zo and Hart are healthy, I don't think I need to see NAW.

It might be crazy because Zion appears to be a generational talent, BUT I'm not sure I wouldn't keep starting Kenrich when everyone is healthy because:

A. Takes the pressure off of Zion
B. Kenny starting is working out okay
C. A second unit of:

Ball
Moore
Hart
Zion
Hayes
(and mix in Melli, Okafor, NAW depending on matchups)

...would absolutely wear most 2nd units out.

Yeah, I know.

But for the first 10 games it would make a lot of sense.

C-Favors
PF-Williams
SF-Ingram
SG-Hart
PG-Jrue

Bench
C-Hayes
PF-Zion
SF-Moore
SG-JJ
PG-Lonzo

At least for the first couple weeks. That starting lineup is very strong and is a really good talent composition. Let Zion split the minutes with Williams for the first couple weeks and ease him back in, and to me that lineup fits Ingram perfect and gives us a dominant and explosive bench.

His first game back will be the most watched NBA game thus far this year. The NBA will promote it like it is the biggest event ever. I do not believe anyone could stop the whirlwind that will be Zion's beginning. He will start.

New Orleans will consider making it a State wide holiday.

Zion will smile. He will run, jump, and dunk. It will be the beginning of what may be one of the best careers in NBA history.

I think some of you guys are sleeping on Melli. He's a legit stretch 4 who is hitting 38% of his threes and trending upward. Right now he and E'Twaun(38.2% from the arc) would be by far your best shooters with the second unit that includes Lonzo, Hart and Kenrich. Plus, both are vets who know how to play. You can mix and match, but right now I'd want their shooting on the floor with Lonzo...

Hart is actually shooting 39% from 3, so Melli and E'Twaun would absolutely not be "by far" the best shooters on the 2nd unit. Oh, and Hart can play defense, something that both Melli and E'Twaun don't do very well.
