The NBA Finals had a wild impact on next year's championship odds, leaving the Los Angeles Lakers as the favorites at some sportsbooks and the injury-riddled Golden State Warriors as second-tier contenders.

The Lakers, at +400, are -- despite their absence from the 2018-19 playoffs -- the favorites to win the 2019-20 NBA championship at Caesars sportsbook, followed by the Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Clippers, who are each at +600. The Toronto Raptors, who took down the Warriors in Game 6 on Thursday to clinch the NBA Finals, are +800.

Knicks odds are high, too. They see suckers in NYC and LA laying bets based on stupidity rather than data.

They occasionally get beat.

Didn’t that one guy make tens of thousands of dollars betting long odds on the St Louis Blues winning the Stanley Cup?

But in the end, they win. I'm willing to guess they will win on those dumb LAL and NYK odds bigly.

Not surprising really. Most of the public expects AD to be a Laker within a week. With KD and Klay being out for (most if not all of)the season, Lakers would have undoubtedly the best duo in the league with AD and Lebron.

What kind of team they could put around them with no assets would be the question. If both are playing as motivated as they can, that team could be scary. COULD.

That's why I hope he doesn't go there, so there's no chance that hell world scenario could come to fruition.

If I bet on this I would “sprinkle” some on the Nuggets and Bucks. I can’t see Celtics, Rockets, Lakers, Clippers, Thunder, or (Kawhi-less) Raptors winning it all.

Hell Warriors is a good bet too lol.

And there’s your correct answer. Those odds are based on bets, not about informed predictions
