Our remaining schedule is particularly brutal. With even a minimal amount of effort, we can absolutely stay near the top of this draft lottery.

My theory is that we were going to trade for a center mid year. Like Phoenix did to get Nick Richards
6 games, 25mpg (career high)
And now putting up career highs in ppg (11), rpg (10)

I think he banked on a KAT trade but couldn't close the deal and didn't expect the Knicks to swoop in and seal the deal.
His gamble would have gotten him fired if it was any other team.

You're assuming we stay healthy the rest of the season. If we trade BI and Z goes down again for any significant period of time(history says he will), then we can easily finish bottom 3.

We won't sabotage and sit players to tank. Thats the difference. There will be teams who will outright sit all of their players to ramp up the tank after the break.
We may have a tough schedule but they'll win some games due to the talent. The idea that we can out tank these seasoned tanking teams is unrealistic.

I don’t know if that’s fair. We are 12-36, anyone with a pulse knows the season is done. I could definitely see players getting shut down after the ASB.

Who are you going to sit? Murray? CJ? Murphy who absolutely needs the development? Zion who is ramping up his minutes and is now up to 28 minutes and is playing on a non guaranteed contract? Jose who is the ultimate competitor?
Yea we've only won 12 games so far but 7 of those wins games were in this month. They may not win games at that rate due to the tough schedule but they are probably going to win 1/3 of those games due to the talent where the tanking teams will start to go 1-9 for every 10 games.
