I guess my question is if we can’t get him in the lineup, can we do anything to use his value? Package him with someone, flip him for someone more helpful?

Quickest ansewr is no

I mean, technically yes, he can be packaged with someone else, but it would just be salary filler as he has zero positive value for a trade.

No

Maybe play him more the JRE?

He really isn’t. He’s a good 3rd string 5 to have, just like Zeller was. This was a known when we signed him.

No, and the Pels shouldn't. I suspect Theis has been valuable for Missi. Theis knows where to be and still has good timing, he just can't get to the spots that Missi can. JRE at small 5 has been Pels albatross, but he's being placed in a bad position for his skill set. Still a little burned about giving up 2 or 3 wins in this losing stretch.

He played well in Game 1 with Murray. Perhaps he needs that's pace to be effective.

I think it has more to do with Missi’s great play than Theis. He was always just a 20 minute a game bandaid. I’d like to see them get Karlo more involved.
