The bright side of all this is that the NBA loves new arenas. If the Pels go to NBA and say "we need a winning team to gather public support for the project" I would imagine we would start seeing things like trades and ref calls start going our way.

2 parts I laughed at. When he said who would buy a team that is losing money? Then a couple of years later he buys the Hornets now Pelicans. Then the Toronto Canada comment . Also funny Mike Hoss was the reporter in the video he flip on. Today Hoss is Saints radio broadcaster.

And Salt Lake City just issued $900m in bonds to Jazz team owner worth 3x less than Gayle for renovations to arena and district surrounding.
Gayle and Co will be happy to put $300m on that turd and call it a day. The whole area needs to be reimagined including her precious New Orleans Centre property.

SLC at least gets 2x the number of professional events with both NBA and NHL teams. But the owner also gets 2x over two teams so maybe they should be made to pay more. I don't know.
