Seems like he would be a great person to help groom the young kids plus I think he would help us compete for a playoff spot in short term.

Griffin is not finished. Their free agent targets won’t be determined until after the draft. Gasol is a winner, but would need to be right price. Pels need shooters. If they don’t draft a guard, then Kemba Walker May be their priority

He'll be back in Toronto next year.

Gasol made more money last season than our maximum available cap as of right now. $23 mill vs cap space of 15-19, depending on when the trade occurs. Marc will be paid less on his next contract for sure, but I doubt we could get him at $15 million unless we guaranteed 2 and a player option

And he'd be a good fit in some ways (need a center who can shoot 3s), but I don't know how well he'd fit in some other ways, because old and slow isn't what we need, because this team is going to run.

He’s too old. Already in the league over a decade. Build a team that is sustainable for the next few years.

He has enough technical skill to be solid for the next couple years as age continues to get to him but I wouldn't take that risk.

Have always been a big fan though
