Just because I need everyone to understand just how unintentionally apropos your post was, I'm going to change exactly one word:
quote:

Gentry is popular enough both with former players and teams looking for coaches that he's probably not terrible.

It all feels way too familiar.

I’m with you. It does feel familiar.

But Gentry had had like 4 HC jobs by the time he got ours and lost at all of them.

Lue has had one and he won a lot of games and a championship.

Gentry also wasn’t Demps’ guy, he was Demps non threatening option. To me the biggest question isn’t is Lue a good coach, it’s is Griff a good direction setter, because regardless of who’s hired, Griff appears to be the one driving.

Yeah, the whole thing has me feeling more cynical toward Griffin. Does anyone know why he fired Blatt when he did? They were 30-11. I know people have speculated that LeBonk had a lot to do with it, but it's a very questionable move. Their winning % dropped every year thereafter.

This article kind of explains it:
Why David Blatt was fired.....

Reading that, Finch has zero chance of getting this job. Griffin fired Blatt at 30-11, but wouldn't fire Gentry during the season and let Finch run the team.
