Chris Paul was not a universally accepted 'generational talent' coming out of college..
Chris Paul and AD were a lot better than Zion when all played for New Orleans
Honestly Zion gets overhyped by this fanbase. Average defender at best who’s elite around the rim and great passer but can’t shoot anything beyond 6 feet and average at free throws. Chris and AD accomplished a hell of a lot more. Even if Zion stayed healthy my point would remain the same.

The key is getting that guy who can score (hunt fouls) and surround him with shooting and defense
Imagine if our foul hunter is supported by a coach and front office willing to challenge authority to get him to the line.

We’re not going to get Zion’s true value in a deal, you have to keep him
Zion has missed more games than he has played. The Pelicans have to get rid of him and the fans should be grateful if we get as much as old washing machine for him.

Has one person ever been able to simultaneously tank two professional sports teams so fast ?
Jim Dolan has done a pretty damn good job of keeping the Knicks terrible and the Rangers mediocre. I would say Gayle is the worse of the two when comparing them but it is close.

If you replace the “r” in his name with an “s”, that’s how I feel about this hire.

Any player who is actually healthy enough to play.

Pelicans fans are like battered wives. They won't face the truth because they always feel like the situation can be fixed and they'll always see what could be instead of what IS.
