I watched the Lakers score 139 and 133 against these dudes. They didnt give a damn about your 7th ranked defense. Pheonix didnt either. Milwaukee didnt when they put up 141. Or Denver when they put up 125 and 134. Or Boston when they put up 118. Or Dallas when they scored 136. These arent random occurces. Or trash Portland and Memphis teams you can bump up numbers on defensively because they have NOBODIES trying to score. And Herb cant guard everybody.

So you downplay the Clippers game because they played 3 out of 4 nights, but ignore those similar situations for the Pelicans?

That's an overstatement. Defense still matters. If it didn't, then the best offensive team in the league wouldn't be in 7th place right now.

What about when we held dallas to 110?
Denver to 110?
Clippers to 106?

We're those games random occurrences?

And those scores you listed were games we didn't have Herb for one game and you listed some b2b scores. Weak arse argument bro.

I think that situational defense and a high offensive scoring output is a better option than selling out for defense at the expense of your offense.

And to be fair, this team is dogshit in clutch and situational awareness in the clutch.

Back to Hawk. I watched this guy beat the Dallas Mavericks on his own. Something that you'll never say about Jose against any team . The fact that people think Hawk v Jose should even warrant a discussion is so out of tune with the Modern NBA is actually hilarious.

Willie Green lacks foresight. Hes playing Naji Marshall who wont be on the team and Jose (who outside of NOLA will be a back of the bench player), over the guy who was taken in the Lottery and will be here the next 4 years. As soon as Dyson went down Hawk should be playing 20 min a night. His development is pivotal to the team if were driving down this path of paying B+ Players Max Money.

So if we've given up all those totals AND are 7th in defense, what does that tell you about how many points othe teams are giving up?

Those numbers you mention all don't mean anything if you don't post how other teams are doing the same. Find me 15 other teams who haven't given up 130 a few times this season, then you may have a point. But those numbers without context to compare against the league don't really tell you much.

You watch the Pels, you see the Pels give up that much so it seems like they don't play good defense. But are you maybe not watching other teams who are doing the same?

And the Pels are out here trying to defensive bunker in. You got offensive dynamos (Hawkins included).
I think we agree on this but it also runs counter to your original assertion that the Pels are trotting out 1 good defender and the rest trash, because now it seems like your'e saying you want us to play the even worse defenders(which again, I do agree with)
