how did we END up with 31 yo scola and his mound of shite contract instead of pat patterson and how is emeka STILL on the roster??!?! if you're going to get rid of a SUPERSTAR you need to either get talent in return or ship out a shitty contract --- DEMPS DID NIETHER

9 million a year for a guy who scores 15+ PPG, shoots 50 percent, averages 8 rebounds, and never stop hustling.
Kris Humphries is rumored to get 8-10 million a year... give me Scola. It's the going rate and he's the better player.

I would say that right now he is worth his contract. He isn't overpaid or underpaid. The last year is also only partially guaranteed. Also, no way was Houston going to give up Pattereson+Martin+Dragic+picks for just Gasol. They did this trade in part so they can clear enough salary to go after Nene or Marc Gasol.
