The Rockets are waiving Ryan Anderson, sources said. Anderson, who was on a partially guaranteed minimum contract, played a total of 14 minutes in two games this season.

His defense might be an asset to this fricking team.

Didn’t he take a shot at us on his way out? Thought he said something like he never got any open shots here or something like that

What problem with personal safety does he still have?

if you haven't noticed, the moment you put a pelicans jersey on, you're bound to get injured. ryno deserves to stay healthy at this point

And just who would you cut for him?

We have a full roster, so someone would have to go

Oh, I wouldn't. I just went ahead and asked the question, because someone else would ask it if I didn't. He's not a fit for the style of basketball we want to play, and we already can't defend without Ryno's matador defense.

update:

Turns out it was more than just a hunch.

Ryan Anderson openly takes shots at his former team about open shots

quote:

“I haven’t had a lot of wide open looks over the years,” Anderson, who led the league in 3-point tries on the Orlando Magic in 2011-12, told reporters at his introductory press conference this past July. Anderson then doubled down on Media Day, telling media gathered in Houston on Friday, “I’ve had more wide-open looks in our pickup games here than I’ve had in the past four years, probably.”
