We don't have 4 million. We have 3 and the 2.6 room exception. We can't get Wright.
We can get Delfino, who isn't a good player. The only sniff he's gotten is from China.

That's probably the main reason I'm reluctant to this. I really don't want to help out the Rockets
Now if they throw Parsons in there, I'd do this in a heartbeat, but there's no way that will happen

Rockets are trading Asik regardless. Don't worry about them getting better, worry about the Pels getting better!

I dont know, man. Asik is 1 of 6 centers who averaged a double double. He was the only one to play all 82 games. Obviously defensive metrics support that he is a top level defender. And we now have Dwight Howard, Marc Gasol, and Tim Duncan to contend with in our division. Jeff Withey and Jason Smith. Think about it.
Ryno is a great player but we need a center like Asik.

I'm not denying that Asik isn't a good defensive Center. I'm just arguing that Anderson gives scoring we lack. I think people are overrating our scoring options a bit. And the money we have left, our options would be very limited.
Anyway, it's s moot point. I doubt this deal has any reality to it.

Either Smith or Anderson will play the 4....without question.

Much rather keep Anderson on his contract and see what can be done at center in the next couple of years rather than make a play for Asik in some immediate attempt to make the playoffs.
