Cajun food is fine. Its a bunch of stuff you throw in a pot and it tastes good.
Creole food is more refined.
It just depends on what you like.
I have a VOR-esque world-class palate so I'm going with Creole.

They probably have better BBQ and nothing else. If you like BBQ to all other foods memphis is a good place to go. But Nola offers the best of two distinct culinary styles (Creole and Cajun)
