Juliana Mazza - @JulianaWDSU: The Pelicans’ Playoff Presale has been delayed after a coding issue. I’m told a high number people bought tickets who weren’t suppose to have access to the sale. Now the Pels website is sold out, and tickets are up on stub hub for big bucks. Details coming up on @wdsu at 10

Sounds par for the course with a New Orleans run organization.

What do they think prices are going to be on stub hub after they resell these same tickets? I feel like I’m taking crazy pills.

You don’t see a problem with screwing the season ticket holders and selling their presale tickets to casual fans who aren’t supposed to have the code? That’s the most important segment of the fan base and the folks who keep the lights on year in and year out. They pay full price for a Wednesday night game against the Mavs. If you have the option of alienating one or the other, the bandwagon fan who only buys when you are winning can hit the pavement.

Tickets were still available for all three games well until the afternoon.....

And these are in addition to the seats STHs already have. So they are not "Screwed"

ETA: I'm a full STH.

It’s not like they sold season ticket holders tickets. You still have tickets to the game and not extras. Let’s not be dramatic.

Then do something smarter than making the fricking code for SEASON ticket holders “season”. You can only be so fricking ignorant if you don’t expect people to try to get in on conference semifinal tickets

I'm a season ticket holder if they wanted to throw us a bone then they wouldn't cap us at only being able to buy 4 extra per game. They just want to jack the price their self to the non season ticket holders to make more money

Season was the same ducking dumb code they used for the pre sale of single game tickets before the season two years ago for season ticket holders. They are at fault and should eat the "losses"

and if they are so worried about resale.....I guarantee you they make a cut when tickets get sold on verified Ticketmaster.

This is an important point. STHs were guaranteed their seats. This morning, they were supposed to have a 2 hour window to buy extra seats before the half season/12 game plan holders got access. Most STHs were probably planning on buying these seats to resell anyway.

I understand not pissing off your most loyal fans, and if something happened that took a STHs seats that they've had all season; they should try to rectify that. Cancelling the entire presale is ridiculous though, especially when it was their mistake. It's not like they were hacked.

I completely agree. I’m not blaming the people who bought tickets early. At this point they will be pissing fans off no matter what they do.
