I don't think Rudy liked the way Cousins and Rondo handled things in Sacramento.

At least I thought I remember him having some sort of trouble with them.

How do waived salaries work? If Rondo signs a deal, does it give any relief to Chicago?

Rudy and Boogie are friends. But I think Gay may play more stretch four than SF this season, which doesn't really work here unless off the bench.

I'm not necessarily campaigning for Gay, but a solid stretch 4 would be a perfect fit here, and would get decent minutes' with the way AD and Boogie's minutes are staggered.

"I could live with Rondo/Jrue in the back court"

No spacing at all. Only way this works is if you upgrade the 3 position with a shooter. If we are planning on playing Soloman at the 3 the I say no.. Upgrade the 3 with a shooter I might be in.

Lebron James?

If you let yourself imagine it, if only for a minute, it is glorious

I think our two best options to pair with Jrue at this point is Beverly or Rondo (Ill leave the door open for my boy Eric Bledsoe too). But here-in lies the issue. To get Bev or Bledsoe it'll cost us a pick. A pick that could be used to pair with Asik, a pick we could use to land a bigger player, or heavens forbid we actually use that pick on a player.

If we could get Rondo on a good contract, it doesn't handcuff us, and it allows us to keep our limited assets to use where we really need it. thats why Rondo is so appealing

I've always thought our shot at resigning Boogie was really high. All indications was he would've signed a max deal in Sac. He doesn't appear to need the bright lights of a big market and the Pels are the closest thing to a hometown team for him. All signs point to him enjoying himself here as well.

I'd be way more concerned with AD then Boogie.

You want to talk about super teams? We aren't the new Kings but the result of a merger of the Pels and Kings organizations to putt the best 5 out on the court lol

I know it's silly and not feasible but we would instantly be the best team in the league.

I wonder if Boogie was recruiting Jrue or not? Haven't heard anything significant regarding Cousins recruiting anybody.

IIRC this came from a team source, so what else would you expect them to say, but it was talked about how pretty much everyone on the team including Hill, AD and Cousins were telling Jrue how much they wanted him back.

Last weekend Bledsoe, Cousins and Wall were altogether at Bledsoe's wedding. I'm sure all 3 were recruiting each other but Cousins is the only one playing in a place that already has 2 Kentucky superstars to join with.

I was thinking more along the lines of Boogie recruiting some of his old Sac town boys- Lawson, Rondo, Gay, Collison etc. Highly unlikely he's talking to J Wall about coming here- don't nearly have the cap for that.
