He’s no doubt, a good offensive player in the nba
But he was a great overall player and leader at Duke
2 completely different humans and players. Not even close to the same dude the world thought we were drafting 5 years ago.

I thought Dyson looked good. Gates hit 2-4 from 3 in just 8 minutes living up to his rep as a shooter. He’s also big and active, so if Hawkins is too bad on defense to play, Gates may be able to step up as a bench shooter.
