Also add we had 20 turnovers AND the refs called everything, and we had a chance to tie at the buzzer. If we make 70% of our free throws today we win.

I saw the game you saw. We played a top five team in all the NBA without our best defender, and had a shot at winning. No turnovers and a few made free throws, we could have won.

Maybe when the play was called, they felt Kawhi was going to guard Ingram like he did for half the quarter.

Team moving in right direction

I don't think that is conceding anything. Gentry called a play with .02 seconds left on the clock. JJ is a capable option, Kawhi is a more than capable defender. JJ had no shot. Ingram was well-guarded in corner.
The Grizzlies will face a very good team on Monday.

Kawhi is older and more experienced than BI, but he should note how Kawhi’s strength in his hands and lower body allow him to position and handle the ball in traffic. This is BI’s next step, He’s not quite there yet and it allows teams to keep the ball out of his hands. Still plenty of season left, but a healthy off season of training will elevate his game to top 5 IMO. For that matter Zo too who can learn greatly from Jrue.

This game was lost by Gentry’s mishandling of the beginning of the 4th.
