There's a strong possibility that Rondo, Cousins, Davis and Darius Miller will all be on court at the same time for the Pelicans this season ...all we need is a shooting guard from Kentucky.

Probably bc it's terribly anecdotal, cherry pickin' kind of comparison. Like why did you use just last season? Like why did you omit FG%? What about Rondo's 3P attempt rate? FT%?
Hows about
PER
TS%
Win Shares
Box +/-
VORP
Turnover %
The only logical thought you made was cost of acquiring said players, which is really the only positive thing Rondo has over the guys you mentioned.

ones 23 and coming off an injury plagued season and never has been given a shot. The other is 32 and has been a team cancer in three of four stops.

Pelicans need proven players aka JLin, Rondo, Lawson. Someone thats can for sure handle the rock and be serviceable.
No more hopes/prayers. We might as well use quinn cook or kept Frazier. We've already tried using young players and hoping that giving them a shot pays off.
Aint happening again. And for good reason. There is a reason theyre on the hunt for secondary ball handlers.
Jrue and Tyreke have traded turns being hurt for several years in a row. We've been forced to play young back up PG's for years now. Frazier, ish smith, etc.
The year jrue/reke were both healthy and effective for at least a majority of the season we made the playoffs.

I can see an argument made for either one. I lean toward the Rondo side. High bball IQ, lower costs, will distribute to our two stars, and this is a good spot for him. Cons are obviously that he's not a great shooter, his defense has been bad, bad FT shooter. But I'd like to take my chances with that.
RJ could provide more spacing, but he isn't as good of a passer. Has had moments where he's looked excellent, and he could really shine with Davis/Cousins. Good on pick n roll. But, hes expensive. If he doesn't work out, that's even more of a blow.
I'd be fine with either, because they both would make the team better. But I'd prefer to take my chances on Rondo. Higher floor (though RJ has the higher ceiling on this team), lower costs, potential of high reward.

Call me crazy.
Forget Rondo.
I'd rather the #Pelicans roll the dice on another friend of Boogie.
Jimmer.
At least he may provide shooting.
Fletch lol

The Pels would be better off with me playing over Jimmer

what does it tell you that a person whose primary offensive scoring skill is getting to the rim, is only doing so enough to get fouled once per game?!
Why would a guy that isn't good from the free throw line, want to go to the free throw line?
Rondo scores at the rim with no one near him. he's always looking to set someone else up, unless there is very clear path to the basket.
I don't understand why some of you are so against this. So what if it doesn't work. don't play him if it doesn't. cut him for all i care. he'll be making little money for 1 year. Are you really expecting to find someone in FA to sign with the remaining cap space that will help us get to another level? Sorry to burst your bubble but that isn't happening.
Rondo can make us a better team. It's a risk. If it doesn't work out, you simply don't play him, and you're no worse, and you're not carrying a contract into next year.
This is the best argument I've seen regarding Rondo for or against.
Teddy hit the nail on the head.

I'd say 75% chance Rondo will be on the Pels.
