Favors is really good. If Lonzo can attack like he did tonight and not settle step back jumpers and shite, he’s going to feast when Zion gets back

We need Zion. We need a coach. We need someone to be an alpha and lead this team.

So the Pels decided to tap out there?

I know the Pels missed plenty of opportunities, but if you can't objectively say that game was officiated fairly

Well, you can see the potential as usual but the coaching on this team has shown why Gentry is a failure at almost every stop he has had as a HC.

There is absolutely no logical reason to keep him around in any capacity. Between his horrid coaching and stabbing the fans in the back with inviting AD to the locker room after the first matchup.

Damn shame they are gonna risk losing fans over this. It’s Dallas Cowboys/Jason Garrett bad.

hopefully that’ll be Zion. But yeah we need a new coach. I’m okay with trading Jrue for the right pieces

Still don’t like the sequence at the end. They should still played hard until the clock hits 0. That’s a bad look especially when it’s a national televised game.

Free throw difference sucked and was obvious bias, but did you see Gentry tearing into the refs about it? no. He sat on his fricking hands like he always does and then you see his team give up at the end.

Coaches stand up for their team. They don’t stand up for the bitch that spit on the franchise.

a lazy take followed by a drastic overreaction after losing to one of the best teams in the NBA when the refs were giving us the business at every turn

I can't wait until we get Zion and then take them down in the 1st round of the playoffs.

I like Uncle AL but I'm not blind to his deficiencies

But coaching has not been the problem of late

It’s not about his game. It’s about his entire tenure with the team. Gentry has been awful outside of one season. Good to great coaches get consistently good play. This team has had spurts if good play followed by long stretches of awful play.

This game was basically an example entirely in one game.

Decent spurts but then long stretches of awful play that had nothing to do with the officiating. He waits until a 7 point lead balloons to 24 to take a timeout and figue things out.

I didn’t expects win in this game, but given the recent play, I expected to see them play consistently well. Lakers didn’t do anything special defensively to merit the Pelicans sucking it up in such huge stretches.
