Sneaky good pick. Reeves just looks comfortable to me in whatever is asked of him. I think we've got something there

Missi is boxing out and fighting the big man on defensive rebounds. He hasn’t seemed to figured out how to do that while also attacking the ball off the rim. If you notice, he’s been a killer attacking offensive rebounds. But he doesn’t have the box out responsibility on offense. Outside looking in, I think that’s simply a young guy doing exactly what he’s being told to do (box out) and not going outside the box. He’s big and athletic as hell. His potential is immense.

Regarding Reeves, he won me over with his intensity. When the game picked up and was close at the end, he really brought a lot of energy defensively, and really wanted the ball offensively. He looks like a gamer to me that can do a bit of everything. I’m sure a lot of us saw the video of him while at Kentucky get in the guys face. He’s a competitor playing to win, and I think will be a real asset off the bench.

I'm liking what I've seen from this class. Reeves has high end role player potential. I like how well rounded his offense is. If he can show that he can defend competently, he may find himself some minutes this year.
Brooks reminds me a lot of Naji but isn't as reckless as Naji. He definitely looks like he can be another Naji type and that's a great find for the team.
Cain looks good from his Heat and gleague highlights. I like his Archetype and the Heat have already done all the legwork in his development. I'm curious if he's a Birmingham signing or if he has a future here.
Missi is raw as frick but you can clearly his potential. The team sitting out Missi in the final summerleague game makes me wonder if they're planning to put him in the rotation. I have a feeling that's the plan.

Someone compared him to Justin Holiday and if he's that much that's as good as it gets.
Peak Justin was 43/41/79 shooting (4.5 3pt attempts a game) with average defense. I'll take it

Makes me think he's gonna get an early run if his defense can be solid. He seems FAR ahead of Jaxson Hayes in terms of BBIQ. He doesn't seem to get beat by inferior athletes, but his technique needs a lot of work. The thing that sets him and Hayes apart, he doesn't look absolutely lost defensively --- that's HUGE.
Clint Capela was a 3/3 player for a dozen games as a rookie.
Then became a 7/6 player the year after. When the game slowed down, you saw what he became with Harden and the P&R.

So, what you guys are saying is that Hawkins is not the second coming of Steph Curry like so many people were claiming on the board all last season. That, maybe Willie Green was right not to play him? Go figure.

No what people are saying is based off summer league he’s not good enough and should be just dumped. Which is also a dumb take.
There’s a realistic take. That hes a young player who showed a lot of promise early in his rookie year and has played out of position all summer league. Maybe, just maybe we give him a second year fully in the rotation to see what he can do. I mean we gave guys like Kira and Jaxson four years yet we’re ready to say Hawkins is done after one.

I saw a couple of one- handed flips form midrange that reminded me of the Joker.
