The interesting wrinkle in this hypotehitcal would be if the next Lakers swap goes to the Nets so that they have no desire to trade them Kyrie.

You realize who the Jazz have running their team?
Danny Ainge just got 4 firsts for Gobert.
This may actually be a viable path, but the Pels would likely be looking at all of the Lakers/Bucks and probably 3 of our own picks going out.
Now, is Gayle committed enough to be a luxury tax team for half a decade? Do you think you can keep the core together and KD ages gracefully enough that losing those picks is ok cause you’ll be competitive for long enough for it to not really matter?
It would be a hell of a gamble, but Utah is sort of a natural third team partner in this if Brooklyn insisted upon still being competitive since Utah seems focused on the draft if they blow it all the way up
