If he's coming for the vet minimum or a really low salary, you could do worse at backup pg/4th-5th Guard.

Nelson isn't going to get much more than the minimum. Back-up PG is probably our 2nd biggest hole after SF. I assumed this would be met with joy since you all hate Roberts but I guess not.

I joke around about Roberts, but I'm happy if he's our 5th guard. If he's getting 15 minutes plus a game I want to puke.

It's almost comical. Seems every transaction and all the news concerning this team centers around guards. Guess we'll have to see how this all works out.

I hope we sign some kind of veteran PG. If Rivers is traded , the only PG we will have behind Jrue is Russ Smith.

You think he's goes for minimum in this market? He still averaged 12 and 7 last season. I could see him getting the MLE for a couple seasons.

Roberts is gone pretty much
Rivers will probably be traded.
Smith is a rookie
Bring nelson in for cheap as a vet back up PG thats been a quality option that can hit 3s isnt dumb at all.
You would be much more comfortable with him running the show if jrue got nicked up than the other 2

People always overpay at the beginning of free agency and we always say the market is high. Towards the end you start getting bargains like Jameer. I think he could get him around a 2-3 million dollar contract.
