They're easing him into the season by increasing his minutes ever week or two. There very well may not be anything wrong with him, they're just being safe. Have you not paid attention in the offseason?

Rated in top 25 players under 25. Obviously, would have had a much cheaper, more reliable center. I think we lost the 10th pick the following year for a crippled guard.
