It was always going to be something of an offensive struggle, with Charlotte's 6th-ranked defense playing rather well. And yet, that's no excuse for New Orleans' particular brand of offensive struggle for three and a half quarters -- extremely late half-court setups, the ball heavily in Brian Roberts' and not Eric Gordon's or Tyreke Evans' hands, liberal dosages of Greg Stiemsma screens, and of course, coma-inducing levels of 20 footers. You don't deserve to beat anyone with all those things going, let alone a top-10 defense. LINK
Feels like this was pulled from my brain
Also, remember "way back" in 2011 when Tyreke could do this... LINK? Or this?
Now he's become a totally below the rim player.

When do the Zephyrs start playing?

Especially with Jefferson + McRoberts's 1.7 combined blocks per game playing most of the time.

I'm wondering if he's trying to protect himself from another injury in a lost season.

Something is up with Tyreke. Add another to the "doesn't fit Monty's plans" list.
Difference is, we just gave him a 4 yr guaranteed contract.

Roberts sure fits Monty's plan

He definitely deserves some leeway due to all the ankle injuries. But even on wide open fast breaks, he ends up trying to lay the ball up
I don't remember him dunking the ball at all this year

I don't recall Tyreke ever being explosive at the rim in his career.

If anyone can watch Phoenix, look at the spacing and passing. Jeff Hornacek is a helluva coach.

But Tyreke has been missing layups at a little league level this season. He has no explosion and doesn't even attempt to dunk the ball. Thats not on any coach, even Monty.

But there's a big gap between being an average athlete, and where he's at now. Which is anchored under the rim.

He has missed a ton of layups this year

Honest to God, I'm ready to let Avery Johnson coach this team for a year just to see what happens (yeah, I know . . . idgas). I've been on the fence about Monty, but I'm ready for a change. Anything. How about Dale Brown?
