That's I thought.

As far as RW's technical. Yeah it was soft, but I don't think it's the type of technical that you rescind. If it was a borderline foul, yes. However, arguing with the ref, that sets a precedent that I don't think the NBA wants any part of.

OKC is in the midst of the playoff hunt and Westbrook is a star player. It will get rescinded

i think it should stand but i would be more surprised if it was not rescinded, and sadly i fully think it will be.

NBA will lose all shred of respect if they rescind it. With the reports from sideline reporters and broadcasters, it sounds like he went on a rasheed wallace level rant.

frick this game. It makes you hate the NBA.

every possession by Houston results in free throws
That's because the Pelicans were purposely playing hack-a-Shaq.

Take away the 18 free throws from take fouls by the Pelicans (either from hack-a-Shaq or at the end of the game to stop the clock), and the Rockets shot 30 free throws compared to 22 for the Pelicans.

Not exactly a highway robbery in terms of free throw attempts. 30 to 22.

Here are the attempts in each game between the teams this season:

Game 1: Pelicans: 22 Rockets: 23
Game 2: Pelicans: 20 Rockets: 11
Game 3: Pelicans: 32 Rockets: 12
Game 4: Pelicans: 22 Rockets: 30

If you want to see a big discrepancy, look no further than the 3rd game these teams played. 32 free throws for the Pelicans compared to 12 for Houston.

In the 4 games these teams have played this season, the Pelicans shot 96 free throws compare to Houston's 76.

Houston averages 25.6 free throws per game over the course of the season. So they had less attempts than that in 3 of the 4 games than their season average. Pelicans average 21.8 free throws per game. They were almost right on that in the 4 games. 22, 20, 30, 22.

So stop your complaining.

If this was like a one time hard foul should be be suspended for a game type thing, I'd understand. But this is a full season, done this 17 times now, one has been taken away, a rule is a damn rule. It needs to be upheld. Like hendo said, it sets a bad precedent if they overturn with all eyes on it.

We are referring to this game and the refs were horrendous.

I get your point and this would be well respected on the MSB but it's never a good idea to bring these sort of "STOP BEING A HOMER" arguments into a team's message board.

They had some bad calls, but they also had some bad calls going the other way and some no calls.

I distinctly remember Harden getting hacked big-time twice about a minute apart, I think near the end of the 3rd quarter. Both should have been And-1's. But the refs didn't call it because he made both of the lay-ups.

The second one was Pondexter who I think was purposely trying to foul him. I don't remember who fouled him on the first one.

Those are just two off the top of my head.

i can re-call 5 screwjobs in the second half alone. not "borderline" calls, straight blatantly obvious calls that should have been called if it was any other time.

1. Defensive 3 second that was totally missed by Dwight.

2. Harden literally tripping, still dribbling the ball and made no motion or act of shooting, gets two free throws.

3. Dwight pushes asik with two hands, Fully extended, no offensive foul call. Somehow ends up being a foul on asik after he was off balance from the shove.

4. Ball gets knocked out with <2 minutes left in the 3rs by brewer in front of a ref, not even a hesitation, out on pelicans.

5. AD snared a rebound, someone literally hopped on his back and poked it out. Turnover, rockets ball.

6. Mistakenly almost called a shot clock violation, then proceeded to give the rockets the ball anyway even though it was off of jones (I think it was jones)

I really liked Jrue at the 2. We need to deal Evans for a pass-first guard. That may be a move that pushes us over the top.

I like the rest of the roster. It's really growing on me. QPon has been absolutely huge. He struggles a little defensively, but I'll take his spacing any day.
