He opens the court up. I agree he is a liability often on the defensive end but im tired of people shitting on the guy. We need him healthy.

I honestly think we are overvaluing how much he opens the court up. He has been wildly inconsistent this year, but bad more often than good. He is not a good defender and his offense has been average, but he keeps getting minutes to "space the floor."

I don't wish injury on the guy, but his injury has meant more Babbitt (much better shooter this year than Anderson) and more Asik (much better defender/rebounder than Anderson). We may need him healthy, but he needs to earn his minutes. What have you done for me lately?

I didn't realize this last night.

Quincy Pondexter played the entire 2nd half. At one stage of 4Q, Monty asked if Quincy needed a breather, but Quincy said "no" and stayed in

more Babbitt

More Babbit isn't going to stop the post defense abuse we've seen. I think part of the problem is too many minutes with AD or Cunningham at PF. Babbit doesn't help that problem at all, because of his size he probably fills the role worse.

Anderson minutes with
AD 790:04
Asik 387:25
Ajinca 274:23
Cunningham 559:55

I'm pulling this from the lineup data at Basketball Reference LINK / Some of that time with Cunningham is DC at SF, but only about 103 minutes looking for 5 man lineups with them and Asik/Ajinca. It's also impossible to tell when AD is playing center and when Anderson is, but Anderson gets 661 minutes with a true center and 1246 next to a PF (AD or DC). Again, if you think more Babbitt is the answer to why Anderson has seemed like such a negative this year, I believe you're asking the wrong question. The question isn't who's the better stretch 4, it's why is Anderson playing so much center?

Damn. I think AD did that against the Suns maybe in December. Can't recall anyone else doing that this year.
