It's hard to say "never" or "can't" about anything. But I'll go on record saying I'll be surprised if he's very successful as an NBA point guard. To me, his abilities don't fit the PG position. And I'm not sure how you learn that thru reps. You're either born with it or not. And the only ones who can overcome the lack of that God given trait and still succeed at the point are the ones who have extreme physical, athletic advantages (e.g. Westbrook or Rose). And I don't see Rivers having any of the off the chart physical traits.

I'm going to have to agree that he's no PG, but I never really thought he would be. I always saw him as a 6th man off the bench. Somewhat of a Jason Terry type, although at this point he can't shoot 1/10 as good as Terry.

If you put someone on a good workout regimen for the rest of the offseason, he will come out stronger, faster, and a bigger vertical, but honestly, rivers just needs more strength, he's not nonathletic

No. It's not a joke. He's an ok athlete but nothing great. Weight room can only do so much. God given talent is more important.

Well thats good. Which elite 2's would he guard. Wade/Kobe? Would he guard Westbrook?
Most elite scorers seem to be 3's in this league other than those aforementioned.
