Which is also why it’s crazy to think if a small market team made it to the finals that nobody would watch. I think a lot of people would because it’d be different. Time for the NBA to rig calls in Davis’ favor next time we play the Warriors.

The local market will always be there for small market teams, I’d think. It’s the people with no connection to the local market.

Most shocking part of this is that the 7th highest rated market is almost 3 hours away from the nearest NBA city...and the 9th rated market is the home market for a team that didn't even make the playoffs.

That's probably part of why the Pels are looking at Birmingham for the GLeague team now that Pensacola seems to have fallen through.

Will Guillory wrote an article on NOLA.com that said we were 3rd behind San Francisco and Cleveland in ratings for TNT games. Either way, it was a very strong indication that this city wants and will support good basketball.
