ESPN Reporting w/ @BobbyMarks42: For first time, team and league licensing revenue – estimated to be worth $160M for 2023-2024 - will be added into the Basketball Related Income. Owners and players split BRI and that licensing revenue’s expected to grow with cap in ensuing years.
Everything I'm seeing means the cap will jump 10% every year for the foreseeable future, which means the tax line will jump 10% also. This means we will likely be able to stay under the tax next season as a 10% jump in the tax line will have us around 10 million under the tax to start the season.

This is the big get for small market teams:
• In an effort to help teams retain players, veteran contract extensions can start as high as 140% of the previous year’s salary (up from 120% in the current CBA).
• Also, non-max rookie contract extensions can now be five years. (Previously, only max rookie extensions could be five years, the rest had to be four.)
Luckily Zion and BI signed already, but in the future, players would be giving up serious money to go play in a large market. Won't stop them from forcing their way out, but players would be stupid to not sign an extension with their current team and worry about a trade later.
