Toronto has OKC's 2024 1st and Indy's 2024 1st, so i'm sure it's one of those, not their own which is going to be a lottery pick.

Interested we didn’t wait with trading Kira. He could be useful with his salary especially now.

Trading Kira and a 1st for Olynyk was my dream all year. Watching it happen for another team is rubbing salt in a wound.

Having Kira on the team to use as a salary filler is no different than him already being on another team right now.

You dont' have to make even deals in trades. Any deal we make will be made with the intention to stay under the tax. As i said before, we could trade JV's $15M for Jarrett Allens $20M right now, without Kira. We'd be slightly over the tax, but the point is we can make that $5M uneven trade, so Kira's $5M is still mostly worthless to us if he was on our team.

This may not be a big deal to us but I can promise you this was the sole reason he was traded early. The tax is more important to this team than we want to acknowledge.

Well, we werent' going to go into the tax for Kelly fricking Olynyk, and Kira's $5.7M isnt' enough to bring back Olynyk's $12.1M. Would have had to add EJ or Zeller to it as well. and again, we woudln't go into the tax for Olynyk. That makes no sense.

Of course it is, this year. There's absolutely no reason to go into the tax when you don't have to, doesnt' matter which team you are. Philly found a way to get out of the tax last year at the deadline. plenty of teams do that every year.
We'll be a tax team soon enough, no need to start that this year unless we were making a blockbuster trade that made us a lot better.

I'm sure they are more interested on Ochai, not Olynyk.
But they have zero backup 5's on their team after Poeltl, so that's why they wanted Olynyk i'm sure.

The 76ers are trading Danuel House and a 2024 second-round pick via the Knicks to the Pistons, sources tell ESPN.

It's clear that we wouldn't be going into the tax for anyone.

Kira's 5.7 million dollar salary, however, is enough to bring back Olynyk by league rules. The Pelicans choose to limit themselves to further restrictions.

OKC is closing in on Gordon Hayward. That's a really good move if Presti give up Peanuts for him.

Tre Mann and Bertans. Damn that's almost nothing.

The Oklahoma City have agreed to acquire Gordon Hayward from the Charlotte Hornets for Tre Mann and Davis Bertans.

Hayward is on an expiring contract and wasn't planning on seeking a buyout if he were not traded.

not it isn't.
It was a couple hundred thousand dollars short of being a legal trade, but we could have easily added EJ or Zeller to it.

And again, it would be beyond stupid to go into the tax just to sign an expiring backup 5 to your backup 5.
