My take on the trade: If AD is worth a dollar, we sold him to LA for 80 cents

All while the second best offer on the table was 50 cents.

I believe Tatum is better than any individual piece we got. However, I feel Griffin did the deal because he truly believed that Tatum wasn't ever going to be offered, and the longer we waited, the less we'd end up getting.

Can y'all imagine what the LA offer would have been if they knew for certain Boston was never going to offer a Tatum package? We'd be getting Ball/Ingram (not both) and a pick or two.

I'm very happy with it, and I believe by the time 2021/2022 rolls around and we have 2 more picks and 2 more pick swaps on the way, we're all gonna be laughing.

Also, not sure it's been discussed, but Griffin knew/learned that Jeanie has a completely irrational love of Kuzma. Griffin used that to get EVERYTHING else. The Art of the Deal, sons.

We sold him for 60 cents and $2 in a trust fund for when we turn 18.

We really needed to get Solo off the books.

No we didn't.

If anything I'm glad we kept him if the alternative was getting less future firsts as payment for taking him off our hands.

This deal shows me we finally are building a future instead of constantly mortgaging it for the sake of a few wins this year... I think we are in for a fun 8-10 years

80 cents on the dollar for a superstar is probably the best value in NBA history for such a trade.

Why do people not grasp a bad contract is an asset in its last year? Either you keep it and now you have cap space for next season or you trade it for assets because a team wants to create cap space. We could get a decent 15-30 first for that at the deadline most likely. Or use him as trade capital with picks for a good player if they are made available

Pels have easily enough to get a contributor or 2 and do nothing with solo.
