Glad we are “flattening the curve”.

At least the walmart workers get paid while the lovely attendants in the SKC don’t

The ones who go to games are great.

I would say the fewest, although it is certainly on the upswing.

Yes, we are a football first city but the fans will come with a better product; winning. The vast majority of Nolaites have been saints fans from the cradle but hell, the Superdome didn’t have consistent season sell out until after Katrina with Brees/CSP era. I remember going to games in the dome pre 05 where I was damn near the only fan in a section. I would hardly have called saints fans then the worst in the NFL.

I’ve been to Hornets playoffs vs SAS and Pels vs GSW both times and PDX. People support a winner. May even get a lot of West Bankers to convert and cross the aisle in the future.

It was stunning to see Memphis somehow cobble together a better and more passionate NBA fan base then we’ve had - and with zero superstars

Didn’t go to a game in the mid eighties to early 90s, huh? The dome used to be packed to the gills and loud af back then.

The Grizz had 7 winning records last decade, including three 50 win seasons and a WCF appearance. The Pels had 2 winning records and 1 playoff series win. I wonder why the Grizz were more of a draw over that period?

Oh and btw, the Pels are outdrawing the Grizz this year by nearly 1,000 per game. In a year that included a 13 game losing streak.

Just Walmart/Sams is better than Walmart/Sams AND Pels games, bars, restaurants, concerts, etc. etc. etc.

The kids who were born the year the Hornets arrived are now entering college. From my observation, you go anywhere in Nola where there are high schoolers and college students, and nearly all of them are in Pels gear. That first generation who was born on basketball in New Orleans are about to become consumers. It's only going to grow.
