Assuming we jump into the top 4?
could trade back to charlotte for Rozier.
trade back to NYK for future picks, and/or Robinson.

I'm not a huge fan of Rozier either, but if he accepts his role as a 6th man scorer, i'd really like that. Pretty sure he doesn't want to do that though. Hell i'd rather he play more minutes than Lonzo, just not start.

Rozier? I'm having flashbacks of Demps selling our picks again.
I thought about Robinson but idk. I still hate the idea of trading our picks for vets while we have such a young team.

Yeah I have my doubts on Rozier. Like you said, if he could accept his role, it's a different story. But, Brad Stevens and the Celtics structure couldn't pull that off so I'm not very optimistic.

I did an extensive breakdown of all the wings and guards I think are possibly within our range, but I didn’t look at Edwards. But everything I’ve heard is he doesn’t play winning basketball and may be one of the lowest iq’s of tops picks in quite a while.

Edwards would be one of the weaker top picks, but this draft just doesn't have that guy.

Edwards is a great athlete imo. He can get to the rim and throw it down, bully people, etc.

There's just a lot of things he doesn't do that well, especially for a #1 pick.

There's nothing we can give for Booker.

Booker would need to request out and tell the Suns he won't re-sign there for them to trade him. And even then the price would be crazy.

Yeah Wasserman's piece this morning on some NBA Intel regarding the draft says just that:

quote:

I've heard "lowest basketball IQ for any potential No. 1 overall pick I can remember." One executive called him a "top-three mystery," which is an amusing oxymoron. Another scout questioned why Edwards couldn't win more games on a team that had decent talent.

Also has Jaden Smith and Patrick Williams moving up the boards. And Deni being a top 5 lock.

Where can I see your breakdown CP3?

Was just looking at the odds and we have a higher chance of picking 14 than any in the top 4 (individually).

Read his article. Interesting takes and sounds like everyone is all over the place. If someone like Wiseman really did fall to late lottery, I would hope they jump on him.

I've seen multiple people saying that Killian Hayes should be the real #1

I mean, lots of analysts may not see a clear #1, but that doesn't mean that teams' scouts think the same way. Some teams picking at the top of the draft may have very strong opinions.

Yeah I'm not a big Wiseman fan, but if he's sitting there at the end of the lottery, I think you have to pull the trigger.

I'm a Killian believer. High floor guy, but I also like his ceiling. Good creator with the ball, but can play off ball as well.

This isn't the first time Wasserman has said something like this about him:
quote:

There are international scouts with Killian Hayes top five, and college scouts who "don't see it."

Would love for him to fall into trade up range for us.

I'm not going to lie and say I've seen Hayes or Avdija play much. Anyone who says they have on here is lying.

The knock on Hayes seems to be that he's not a supreme high level athlete, and that he is ridiculously left hand dominate. But otherwise he has been playing professional basketball overseas for years now, and is just damn good.

I’ll be posting it either this afternoon or tomorrow morning. I don’t want to upload it then have the Pels move up in the lottery, at that point it’s virtually useless lol

Yeah from what I can gather, he's kind of similar to D'Angelo Russell with more of a willingness to play defense and better game IQ. I'm not too worried about being too dominant with his strong hand at this point. I think he could be skilled and crafty enough to still get to where he wants to be on the floor even if the defense knows which direction he wants to go, despite not being the best athlete in the world.
