JV started this season lighter and quicker. Maybe it was the FIBA play that helped him? In any case, it's gone now, and he now looks like the old, slow guy that we had last season.

Since around the IST, at least in my eyes. I don't know of any way to measure how quickly he's moving, though.

At the beginning of the season, I was consistently impressed with how quick Jonas was, as compared to last season. I'm not now. That's all I can say, I suppose.

I disagree here. His last game was bad and looked like he had tired legs. But I think hes been pretty good this season before and after IST.

what you're seeing is he appeared quick at the beginning of the season, b/c the fat arse he was playing next to wasn't moving. Now the fat arse is starting to get into shape just a bit, and care just a bit, and is starting to move quicker so now JV looks like the slowest guy on the court again, even though JV hustles his arse off at all times.

OK, I get it, we all like Val’s consistency, toughness, and grit. Good rebounder, and eats space up in the paint. Now, name a starting center who is slower than Val. That’s the problem.

There are plenty of guys just as slow as JV.

Zubac
Poetl
Steven Adams
Lopez
Goga (starts in Orlando now)
Hartenstein (starts now for NYK, and is making Robinson look like trade bait)
Vucevic
Nurkik
Zach Collins
Hell is Sabonis really that much quicker than him?

Is it? Jokic is pretty slow and does not seem to be an issue (not comparing him to JV as a player).

That'd be a no on your list and a heck no on most of it. Pels don't even bother showing Val on high pick action because he can't drop back into coverage (a skill everyone on your list does with varying degrees of success except maybe Adams).

On the offensive end, although effective at times, you have to clear the lane for Val to post and operate due to lack of foot speed. No quick cuts/drops, spin moves, or vertical lob threats for your playmakers to counter teams piling up in the paint and you easily see the issue.

Joker has the whole league in the matrix. You think he can't get by you, over you, or through you but while your thinking that he's already done it and lumbering back up the court.

Seriously, Joker has some of the quickest reaction time in the league period.
