Lamelo Ball drawing NBA interest

Pelicans among number of teams interested in Melo. It says the pelicans have “inquired” about him. I’m confused on this, I thought he was going to get drafted, but I know he was been a professional for a few years. Anyone know anything about this?

ETA - just saw it is Melo. I guess early scouting for the draft.

Yea it could be. Just the wording “inquiring” makes it sound like we want to sign him.

He's starting to get many projections to be the #1 overall pick next year. It's the Pels doing due diligence.

well there are already two threads based on his being taken top 3 or first overall.
This one with pels at 10 is his worst.
And i would not take him over a guy who can shoot.
