So why would they trade karl Anthony towns? Isnt he the best player they have?

The case for MIN trading him is that he IS the best player they've had and as the franchise player, they've been a complete dumpster fire over the years.

What is Peak Lonzo exactly?

A 40% 3Pt shooter?

A 75% FT?

5 or so attempts at the rim per game?

If that’s who he is, why not just keep him?

I’d put it at less than 1% chance we get KAT. KAT finally playing with his boy dlo. T wolves got a new coach.

The risk is how much he could get in an offer as an RFA, could be asking for a massive overpay from how we value him.

IF the price is right or just an "average" overpay if you will, I'm all for it. But I'm also not against continuing to shop him to see what max value in a trade looks like before the deadline.

Hes going to keep playing better. His biggest problem, and why I thought he should stay another year at LSU was that he was so weak. As he gets stronger I can see him putting up John Collins type numbers

What would y’all think about giving up assets for Paul George if he ends up being the scape goat for another failed Clippers season? I’m not sure if he would agree to that but I honestly think he’d be a better fit than Beal because of he is defensive ability. Because of his contract maybe he wouldn’t take as much to get.

The target should be Vucevic. He is the perfect 3rd piece to put with Ingram and Zion, plus he is on the block. So he is getable. Would put us solidly in the playoffs and scary mismatch for a ton of teams..

Only way it would make sense is sending them Adams in the deal. Do you think Griffin would part with Adams?

I used to be against KAT because investing more money in a big is crazy plus his defense is not good, but then last season he shot 41.2% from deep on nearly 8 attempts per game. KAT might end being regarded as the best shooting big of all time for a while. KAT's honeymoon period is over too and it seems from a trade perspective now that his value has fallen if NBA insiders are to be believed.

I think it would be a huge gamble, but could REALLY open things up for BI and Zion.

Like Beal and the potential of Wood, KAT is a guy that I have been open to and been shite on by a lot of people, and I still think he would be a good fit here under the right circumstance.

However, I think the part of this being a realistic acquisition needs to be shelved for at least this season and next.

With his best friend now on the team, the craziness of this season with Covid killing his mom and supposedly doing a number on him, and the length of his contract, I don't think KAT is going anywhere for a couple of seasons.

Why wouldn't he? Adams is a solid starter. But he can't score and we need another player in the front court that can score. It would be something if Adams was a dominant defender. But he is just solid. Vucevic is just as good as a defender and is literally more than double the offensive threat.

We can't improve more at any other position than at Center. Even you get Beal or Lavine to replace Ball. They are only going to score around 20ppg (3 guys aren't scoring 25+ppg). Ball is almost at 15ppg. That isn't that huge of a jump. Adams is at 9ppg.

Adams contract is perfect to move now, since it jumps down the next two seasons. The Magic are over the cap. Swapping the two gives them 15M in space over those two years. Plus we can take on bad deals like Ross and Aminu to sweeten the deal. There is a deal to be done there. If we don't, the Celtics or Nets are going to jump all over it..

I am not disagreeing with you, but Griffin fawned over Adams when he acquired him. I just do not see him parting with him.
