If NY Doesn't Get No. 1 Pick, Who's The Best Trade Partner? Bulls, Cavs, Suns?

It's not a foregone conclusion that New York gets the No. 1 pick. Which team between the other three current worst (Chicago, Cleveland & Phoenix), offers the best package?

But they know AD would never re-sign there, so they would not give that up.

Exactly. If anybody other than the Knicks got the pick, they wouldn't trade it for AD because they know he aint staying.

Do you think Pelicans would take a Knicks deal with Knox, Ntilikina and Zion over the Boston potential best offer of Tatum, Brown, Smart and 2 1sts?

if they do, I’m driving to Metairie and punching Dell in his fat milk dud head. I was a fan of the knicks deal before this happened, but if Celtics are offering all of that we’d be dumb to say no

I'd have to agree. The problem is that this gives Ainge a little more leverage IMO as one of our potential deals is not nearly as enticing.

Thats the debate.

Zion would be more marketable but nobody in the Knicks deal would help them win NOW

I think the Pels would be split if those were the two offers. I think they would lean Zion because teams always prefer guys that they don't have to pay for a while and guys who have never been with another organization.

But to me, this is the best case scenario. Play them against each other and get as much as possible

New York just got additional draft assets and we don’t have to take back any bad money which more easily allows us to take on a “marketable” star.
