I'm just discussing. None of us have any input in the process, anyway. Except for Chad. Tom Benson values Chad's input.
And it's also 100% documented that Tom Benson doesn't hold any value to Jester's since he already owns the Pelicans and already views that as a worth while rebranding idea with marketing and money making potential.

And yet again, you keep missing the point. It's like trying to teach algebra to a waterhead.
Ever tried this? It's tough.

No there is no point that cardinals didn't happen in new orleans. it's a highly associated name with a highly associated religion of a city. Thats not a fricking point that 100% negates a naming concept/idea.
And I offered 10 different names that do the exact same thing. Pelicans, in my opinion, is terrible, but it may happen. Cardinals is both terrible and will not happen for several reasons that you choose to ignore.

To be fair, saint has a colloquial meaning in addition to the specific Catholic meaning.
There's plenty of religious "offense" to be had with "saints" as your brand.

Wow, you can repeat what I say with a douchebag tint. You clearly win the internet.

Name has to carry the curb appeal and not just associate with the catholic concept. Very few of your suggestions give that curb appeal that cardinals do. Bishops are okay... not sure if any of the rest were worth a shite at least imho.

I'm here just to explain the proof in the puddin of why you're opinions on the rebranding concepts from our current owner's perspective are pretty worthless.

Where is it, then?
I think you mean: I can see how that could be a problem.
It just isn't.

You didn't prove shite, dumbass. You said something. That is it. Hell, Tom Benson may have told them to get the frick out of his office when they brought up Pelicans. If not, prove it. You can't, though, because you don't know shite.
Also, I'd be willing to bet there is someone in the organization checking message boards and blogs as a litmus test for the possible names.

I think you must have forgotten to post that Catholic Word Curb Appeal diagram.

You said nobody would be pelican merchandise.
The mere fact that Benson owns the Pelican naming rights proves that he sees value in that brand, something you don't. If simple logic doesn't work for you, i'm going to have to try to find an alternative method of explanations for you.

Its in the page right before "Things that have been done, happened or invented in New Orleans"

Someone also owns Spirits and Angels. It's like scooping up web domains, fool.

Nah, stick to simple. It works for you.

Never said it was offensive. Maybe someone else did.
Saints is generic enough to sidestep specific religious issues.
It's like the badarse version of the "people who generally behave well."

Which explains succinctly how little relevance a Cardinal has in New Orleans. Hell, while we're stretching, why not New Orleans Presidents? Maybe we can go New Orleans Nobel Prize Winners. How about New Orleans Yankees? Some Yankees have been to New Orleans.

To be clear Benson bought the brand long ago (90's?) and is maintaining LLC's tied to them.
This has a much larger value in terms of cost avoidance then just filing something with the SoS.

Sorry, I didn't realize anyone would take that statement so literally. Congrats on that one. You win the internet again.

Somebody forgot to tell mr. benson when he named his professional team that all saints day wasn't' just celebrated in New orleans that it was celebrated all over and how little succinctly relevant it truly was to our city that he should have just named New Orleans the Vice Presidents or maybe the New Orleans Heismans Or the New Orleans Canadian Yucks. Some Heismans have been to New Orleans.
