I don't think Zion will be traded...too hard to agree on his value

Look at the trades being proposed here and in the media/social media...some people think Zion is injured/damaged goods worth a top 3 pick IF we add in 14 or another first, some people think he's worth a top 3 pick AND other valuable assets because they weigh the all-nba caliber small sample

When you have a guy like Zion who hasn't asked out (that we know of) and such a wide range between his good and bad qualities, it's really tough to agree on a value for a trade, especially when you're a front office who has to deal with managing perception in addition to doing your actual job of putting the best team together.

I don't think anything is getting done with him for a top 3 pick.

I imagine it’ll be BI or no trade at all until next year.

All you need is two parties to work through an agreement. Nothing we say here or what espn says matters at all.

Y’all out here acting like BI and Zion are our only trade assets. All-star caliber players can be had with multiple 1sts and young guy and salary fillers. We have like 5 1sts we can ship, several less important budding stars, and an aging guard, but one who’s shown little to no decline as of yet, albeit on a larger contract.

We could do all sorts of things dude, and we likely are shopping the other options first and foremost, as well we should

This is why, even if the main goal is to just trade Zion for Scoot, you open up the phone lines for business with all 29 other teams, so you can figure out what Zion’s actual market value is.

So if you are the Pels and you want 2, Mark Williams, Hayward, and a 1st

You might actually have some justification/evidence to ask for that.

Charlotte is likely shopping their pick with 5-6 other teams, which gives them much more leverage in the negotiations. If you are telling Charlotte that you are only interested in doing Zion for Scoot and not Zion for other packages, to other teams,
Charlotte already has the upper hand in those negotiations. A fair deal will never get done that way.

Tap the brakes, Turbo

Budding stars’ carry stand alone value in a trade. Ask yourself who these budding stars are and what exactly can they net you without attaching more capital to a deal

Tap the breaks? Compared to what you’ve seen lately, that needs to tap the breaks?

A pick and Herb can get you a good player. I’m not saying go nuts, but everyone else is with trading BI or Zion for scraps

Turbo, what a cock

ETA: Listing out assets in a post where I started by saying “we have more assets than bi and Z” is not the same as saying we should include them all in a deal

That fine. But Herb Jones is a role player. Let’s not embellish our assets, chief

You’re not moving up to 2 or 3 without giving up BI or Zion. It’s not happening

There are more moves that can be made aside from going after 2 and 3

This thread is about this guy saying Zion won’t be traded. Your BI or no trades at all until next year comment opened it up to a different conversation

My post wasn’t about scoot, it’s why I didn’t mention him
