Is Warrick actually going to play for us?

That depends. If the goal is to maximize wins and make the playoffs this season then probably so. If the goal is to keep building towards the future and develop the young guys then they have to flip him or buy him out.

Good move by Hornets acquiring center Robin Lopez and Hakim Warrick without having to give up much. Warrick could start at small forward.

Meh. At this point it really wouldn't be much of a downgrade though.

They'll be good, but I see a 6 or 7 seed at best. No way they're a top 3 seed.

They would have been a 6 or 7 seed last year if Rubio had stayed healthy. Pekovic put up 14/8 in his 2nd year. It's perfectly reasonable to expect him to be better. AK47 isn't worth $10m/yr, but he's legit.

There's only one way all these pieces fit.

Lopez/Warrick - NO
Miller/Johonson - PHX
Dyson - MIN

He's not gonna start, but he could be valuable for depth at the 3 and 4

Dell's gonna be on WWL radio in a few minutes. I doubt he's gonna say anything definitive, since the deal isn't official yet

Is there really any doubt this is a good deal for us? We needed a true Center even if hes not a world beater....and Warrick is a really nice piece thrown in IMO.

Hakim Warrick, the seasoned vet of this young squad.

Yeah, the less Lopez makes, the better. If he makes $6m+, I'd say it's a bad deal.

I'm kinda sad about sending dyson out. He looked pretty good late last year

If it's Miller and Dyson leaving with Warrick and Lopez coming, the max he can get year one is a little less than $5m. Raises will be around $0.2m if max.

It is bound by trade rules, outgoing salary, and Warrick's deal.
