With the Sixers effectively apart of another major trade one would think Mr Embiid is halfway out the door too. Gayle says she’s willing to pay the tax. Call her bluff.

We’ll overpay for Paul Reed (baby Embiid) instead

Will be like every other disgruntled star. He won't want to come here, so the 76ers won't trade him here.

Also, we don't know when that'll be, but this next offseason would likely be the earliest. I think Maxey is playing well enough that they won't be bad this year, so Embiid won't be asking out at the deadline, little chance of that.

The Sixers aren't trading Embiid.
They made this move so they would have $50M-65M in cap space this offseason. They aren't blowing it up.

They are in a good position with 3 future firsts they can send out, and teams like the Bulls and Raptors who are probably going to look to make some big changes at the trade deadline when they realize they aren't any good.

We should do a 3 teamer with them sending them BI and getting back Zach Lavine.

It's just an endless cycle. Some folks will hitch their wagon to this Embiid thing that will never happen, and like you said, he may not even be traded at all.

But then they'll blame Griff for not "just trading for Embiid" even though there was no avenue or possibility of ever trading for Embiid.

Would love Zach Lavine on this team. High confidence, shoots it from anywhere, athletic af, and will drive to the basket unlike bi.

Most importantly, an efficient volume scorer. Can't facilitate quite as good as BI, but I think the efficient scoring is more important. No clue how feasible any trade to get him would be, not entirely sure it's the best play either.

The Sixers, like the Blazers, will wait too late to trade him. He won’t be traded until he’s 32-33 and multiple failed attempts to make them a contender.

We should focus our energy elsewhere. We have a deep team when healthy.

I honestly believe they’re better without Harden and Embiid will stay. Maxey is a star in the making and honestly makes them better. Probably, one of the reasons Morey finally pulled the trigger was seeing how good Maxey was playing.
