quote:Plus, i'd like all these people complaining about Vasquez' defense to run down the list of lock down defenders at the PG position. The list, if it even exists, will be extremely short.
There is a lot of hyperbole here. Opposing PGs have not been blowing away their averages against him.
Its amazing to me that the team's most consistent player, and the guy thats held the team together this year takes the most shite from people. We're a trainwreck when he's not on the court.

You'll see why vasquez will never be the starting PG on a championship team.

Dont be upset this summer when he is gone for a player like bledsoe dont come on here and say we missed out. I want to win a championship one day with this team and we will never do that as long as vasquez is on this team.
Bledsoe will never win a division championship as a starting PG. Save it. Write it down. I'll stand by it.

I would be pretty upset at that.

But you aren't most people
Demps hasn't overpaid for anything yet and I don't expect him to start now. He has proven to be excellent at projecting talent and fit, so if he sees the need to swap Vasquez for someone else I think you'll give it a chance after a mini meltdown.

Thankfully, due to all of those reasons, I don't think Demps would trade Vasquez for Bledsoe.

I have to try really hard to look past those elite teams led by a Bledsoe/Gordon backcourt to sleep at night, though.

He has long arms, too.

I don't think the Clippers would even begin to consider trading Vasquez for Bledsoe either.

i did point out in a later post exactly what you just said and i agree. But even last year we all saw JAck's flaws and now when he isnt the #1 option on a team we see how great and important he can be on a good team. Also you are right on the idea of how fast fans forget people, but there are some vasquez fans out there that will look at the numbers and be upset if we would trade him and get bledsoe

Not sure how you can make a claim like this when our record says otherwise.

I can say the same thing about Vazquez. You won't know until you see the other pieces around him.

Jason Smith
Marco Belinelli
Greivis Vasquez
Gustavo Ayon
Robin Lopez
even Lance Thomas and Brian Roberts
All are players that Demps got for very low cost and all have played at least one level above where they were at their last NBA stop, be it DLeague or 3rd string at the end of the bench.
I call that projecting talent and fit, not sure what you call it.

Yeah, but I don't have to chop off my left nut to find out with Vasquez....

Aminu/Lopez = fit

I am kinda half baked right now and haven't been reading the thread, but why are you talking about your testicles and Grevis Vasquez?

Because people are trying to trade Greivis Vasquez and our collective left nut for a backup combo guard with a bad ast/to rate.

I call it being lucky to be on one of the worst rosters in the NBA. You just named a bunch of average to below average players. Them playing at a level above their previous destinations is more indicative of our roster. The proof of this is based on our record.
