Houston has way better long term assets than any of the crap PHX has. I know I was trashing it, but Montejunas, Lamb, Dragic S&T are all "pretty good" compared to PHx.
Easily. We could always just match the offer and trade him to Houston if he really doesn't want to stay and probably be much better off than with a S&T with Phoenix.

That's possible, however unlikely. He could have said this to show that he didn't use Phoenix to get a max deal and that he was legitimately interested in going to Phoenix, but that after further consideration New Orleans is the best fit. Probably not though.

yeah that deals looks great as we'd have another sure fire 20ppg guy in Martin.

If he ends up getting traded, Phoenix isn't going to give Gortat up. There's no chance.

I agree, and am certainly having a hard time doing so myself. I think the thing is regarless of what he may have MEANT, those comments feel like blatant disrespect to a bunch of people who supported and backed him through whatever in the hell happened last year.

Alejandro is MinnesotaTiger? Lulz, i was just thinking how that guy sucks. Makes sense now.

I'm willing to wait and see what he says to Dell after meeting with him but as of now those quotes are pretty damning.

Damn I need a break from this place. Apparently this board will now be filled with shitty trades posted for the next week

PCT, how you think about this trade?
Marshall,Gortat and a 1st for Gordon,Vasquez?

They are. I feel like a lot of these guys are shellshocked from the CP3 ordeal and take comments like these way farther then what they might actually mean.

Gordon for Gortat and the 2013, 2014 first round picks.
Tell Gordon if you want to be in Phx so bad, go make sure they agree to this deal. If they don't, then you are spending 4 lonely years in NOLA, where everyone hates you

Then there's no chance they get Gordon.

Here's what I think we know for certain:
Eric Gordon isn't going to sign a qualifying offer and give up a guaranteed $53 million when he has show before he is interested in the Benjamins.
The Hornets will either match or sign and trade...and don't look for the Hornets to get trade raped if so. We have all the cards.
Eric can bitch and moan all he wants but either way the Hornets are getting his services or should get a very good deal for him given the vast interest in FA this year for him.

They probably won't get him. Phoenix would be making a huge mistake giving up Gortat.

People may have taken them farther than they actually mean. But he should've understood the reaction he'd receive when he said, "my heart is in phoenix" Had he not said those 5 words, I'd be MUCH less concerned.
